Veggie Smoothie

Did you know that the average woman doesn’t consume the daily recommended amount of vegetables? This number varies between 2 to 2 ½ cups daily depending on your age. Certain vegetables such as kale have immense benefits for skin, hair, and nails. This recipe is amongst one of our favorites, and it’s easy and quick to make. 

All you’ll need are: 

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 3 dates
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 kiwi
  • a handful of fresh spinach
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 2 glasses of water

Blend the ingredients in the blender for at least 30 seconds, put it in the fridge, then drink chilled. That’s it! 

Dark leafy greens like spinach, kale and collards are loaded with nutrients that promote hair growth such as iron, vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E. Dates are rich in iron, which improves blood circulation to the scalp and helps with faster hair growth. Bananas are great for your hair and scalp. They improve manageability and shine, prevent and control dandruff, and moisturize your scalp because they’re rich in potassium, natural oils, carbohydrates and vitamins, which help soften the hair and protect the hair's natural elasticity, preventing split ends and breakage.
